Goranson Farm, Dresden Maine: CSA photo album Local Food Local Art

A photo album collection celebrating Goranson Farm CSA and the successful completion of a year long collaboration of artists and farmers in Midcoast Maine.

In 2012, The Kennebec Valley Art Association created and nurtured a year long Community Supporting Arts project. They paired up Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms with artists who spent the year responding to and engaging with the farm.

My role was to document the collaboration of the Goranson Farm Family and photographers Susan Bickford and Kelsey Kobik. The visionaries that created this project, KVAA and the Harlow Gallery, believe as do I, that artists can use the power of their artistic voices to effect social change. CSA farms, likewise, have the power to center healthy local communities.

We gathered to celebrate these hard working Maine farmers and artists on October 7, 2012, at an opening reception for the exhibit at the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell, Maine.

In 2013, to support the statewide traveling exhibition, I created a photo album to highlight this particular collaboration. I am proud to be a longstanding member and supporter of Goranson Farm's CSA.
